Service is lovely. The same nice man who has been here forever still greets everyone with a smile. Occasionally folks have to wait a bit longer than one expect if the place isn't busy but honestly that is very rare. Prices are a bit high but the fish is always spectacular. Tartar sauce is homemade and the owner seems to always throw in extra goodies such as lemons, vinegar, you name it. After 30+ years, there really is not much to complain about.
The best fried fish in town!! Portions are big and the food delicious. The clams are wonderful. If you like fish, you will love this place.

I visited Simmons place a few times. I don't always get a chance to swing by because I'm always in a rush to get somewhere. The owner is genuinely very nice and he just wants to serve you fish. I'd like to get his premium fish two piece and a soda and I always ask for extra tartar sauce and he never complains when I do. The ambience is a little kitschy in somewhat outdated. But who cares! My wife and I moved to Hemet little over 2 years ago. We've been craving fish and chips and found Simon on yelp. We decided to try and we've never gone anywhere else. We try to get fresh fish every other week and it's always consistent and delicious. Very friendly and clean!
Food is delicious!! Cheap paper plates that get holes from the cheap utensils, grease and malt vinegar. Recommend getting your order as take out, or bring your own plates & utensils.
Haven't been here in a while and have missed this deliciousness!! Simon's has the BEST fish in chips around!! Everything is fresh and the fish is NOT greasy at all... we ordered the family pack so that we can have some for later so they awesome owner offered to fry that right before we leave. He's quiet but so amazing ! I always feel bad and wish this place was busier because his frying skills and ingredients are awesome! If you like fish I highly recommend this hidden gem... you'll definitely enjoy yourself.
Cod was crispy and fresh. The clam strips were also delicious. The calamari had a bit of spice to it, but everything was really good. None of my food was soggy or too greasy.
